(my entry in the gardening gone wild photo contest for may)
in the summer of 2010 i had the priviledge of going to
there were so many beautiful vignettes it was hard to know
where to point and shoot. i love close~ups but i had
to take lots of long shots to help jog my memory once i
was back home in my own garden.
i never really got around to blogging about this wonderful
time i spent in buffalo....last summer was back to back traveling
all summer long.
my time there immediately resonated in my mind when
i thought of all the beautiful varieties of flowers showcased
in the lovely small gardens of the buffalo garden walk.
so here is just a fraction of what i got to look at,
it rained on us several times but i love rain drenched flowers.
the colour seems so saturated and glowy with drops of water on
i love the way the light bounces back at you in the rain.
if you have a chance to visit buffalo during the garden walks
i would highly recommend it. they pack their gardens out
like nobodies business. the homes are beautiful and history
in buffalo is evident in the buildings and houses.

my two older daughters, rachel and esther and i have started a blog together.
we hope to inspire women and to build relationships.
hopefully to keep better in touch with each other too...we especially miss our
esther not living near us.
check it out if you want. it is called raw beauty.
