I have been hoppin around today saying hi here and there. Your dogs are so pretty. we had a black lab for awhile...loved it, but what a handful. It was our sons dog, so he went to live with him. I am tempted to get myself a lab (o:
Your Chessies are gorgeous animals. They remind me of my Chocolat Lab, Mishka. I had him for 15 years. I miss him even though he has been gone about 5 years. I can't forget those beautiful eyes and soft ears.
our dogs get regular exercise and then they are quite well behaved. on days like today with all the rain they are definitely restless and a little mischievous. we love our chesapeake bay retrievers. they are water dogs by nature and are fowl hunters. but ours are just companions. i would highly recommend with the understanding they need plenty of outdoor time and exercise. i am glad you found your way to "things i love". welcome grammy!
our dogs are in our hearts forever. i have a 14 year old that has been so healthy until christmas but she is better now. i have no idea what i am going to do when she is gone. my dh calls her my shadow.
susie, believe me i wish they could go out. just had my house cleaned yesterday and today muddy footprints everywhere but i guess that is what wood floors are for. bronte' can throw those sad eyes at you, yes she can.
wendy, thank you we are very fond of our dogs and spoil them a bit. they are glad to have each other, too. the older one, who is not picture, because she hates the flash doesn't want to be bothered by these two young whipper snappers.
Cute dogs and they have perfect names, my dog Rosie is not permitted on the couch, but it is her favorite place to sleep when we are not looking. Aren’t dogs great.
meems, you know i have to get a picture of bronte' doing something good so i can keep that in my head, instead of seeing all my outdoor cushions destroyed one by one. our whole side yard looks like a white chicken got plucked because of that sweet dog getting a feathered pillow. jesse's last set of books were in the field next to our house(i am glad they shrink wrapped them) otherwise they would have been gonners. but that buster's a keeper. bronte' just passed the one year mark in feb. so hears hoping for a little maturity in her.
rusty, our 80 plus pound dogs are not allowed on the furniture either. but we had that bed on the floor made for them so they would be comfy. rosie is a cute name. we also have a maggie. she is camera (flash) shy.
Hello, Marmee. I looked at one of my blogs where I keep extra photos of the garden and found you had left me a comment in January. I haven't posted in this blog since July last year...so, I apologise for not getting back to you sooner.

dear gail, yes they are a big part of our lives. they are feeling a little bit of cabin fever with all this rain. our dry creek bed is high with running water today. i am sure your project is on hold too.
wildlife gardener, i will check out your other blog. thanks for your kind comments on the dogs. we take naming our pets very serious. they are both feeling a little restless because we have had rain for so many days.
Hi Marmee~~ I finally found your blog. Your dogs are beautiful. Shiny coats and I love their ears. I've always had a fondness for dog ears. They're so soft and furry. :)
glad you decided to stop by the "things i love". we had a couple of sunshiny days and the rain is expected again. at least we got the gardens tilled. my dogs actually are water dogs but i hate all the muddy footprints on the wood floors. my dh said that's way people used to have dirt floors, lol.

They blend in with the sofa! Very beautiful dogs, their coats are so shiny, must be very healthy!
What beautiful dogs, they are gorgeous. I don't think I could imagine life without a dog.
Seeing Monet's Lady With Parasol on your sidebar makes me feel very at home as we have a copy on our sitting room wall!

You have such pretty dogs. Poor Bronte looks sad that she can't go out and play.
Gorgeous! They look so happy.
darla that is actually their bed a very large one. they both weigh about 80 pounds. they are treated good and eat organically.

*hugs*
They are gorgeous!
Such beauties! I love their little monogrammed sofa - it looks very comfy.
Rain or shine, you can tell they are ready for anything.

tina,
thank you. i hope your day is going great and looking forward to the weekend.
deb,
their bed/sofa takes up a lot of floor space but they look so cute and comfy when they are actually laying on it.
have a great weekend, deb.
bren,
they are beauties and good watch dogs. they keep the coyotes at bay and i think the deer are less likely to come around because of them.
rusty,

Your pups are beautiful~~and I can hear from your conversations that they are dear to your heart and very much a HUGE part of your family. gail
