As always Marmee a pleasure to visit your home and your family.....I particularly like the photograph of your husband reading the bible........he seems lost in his readings......
The pie looks delicious......BUT i have eaten way too much this Christmas........
thank cheryl, hope you have had a merry christmas. we are having turkey soup today so things are calm and quiet after yesterdays excitement. we always read the christmas story first thing. it was a wonderful day.
Marmee, what a great post. Family doing all the Christmas rituals. I loved the girls in their slippers and warm robes;) The food looks so good. I'm glad you were surrounded by family on Christmas. That's the very best! Marnie
Thanks for coming over to my blog. Yours is wonderful. It seems so homey. We love to read the Christmas story too!!! That pie looks d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!!!
Yes I do sell my bags online. I have just had a hard time keeping up with the stores that are selling them. One store has sold over 60 bags in the last 3 months. Very exciting stuff for me. Let me know what color you want and I will make one special just for you!! I will be able to make one on Monday and ship it by Tuesday.
Marmee, I can see you had a lovely Christmas with your family! Everything looked lovely and the food delicious. We only have one child so I have often wondered what a big full family Christmas is like!
Dear Marmee, Your Christmas looks so blessed and magical. It is very beautiful. I love the children's faces with their treasured gift. Those smiles make the magic happen! Thank you for sharing your family. Joy, Sherry
cindygert, thank you i will think about what colour and let you know. thanks for coming over to "things i love", you are most welcome here. i love etsy and did take a look but i love the bird on a branch or the owl and those were sold.
gail, not everyone was here but a majority were and it is magical. the house is full of noise, loud boasting, children running and excited, lots of chefs in the kitchen bumping into each other giving strong opinions, telling stories with laughter and disbelief. it is at the same time chaotic and exhilarating. sometimes tittering on insanity but all the while normal to us. and that's just a hint, lol! we had a wonderful christmas. i can't believe how warm it is, it's very windy here though and overcast, yuck! hope you have a great weekend too.
merry after Christmas Day! i didn't get around to checking yesterday, so missed the pics til now. loved them all, especially the sleepy bros on the couch ;-) they are going to love that one being posted around the world!!
really, thank you for the personal peek into your day! it is the next best thing to being there myself. miss ellery is so radiant with the joy of the day. abbey and gwyn looking so sweet and serene and lovely. my beautiful rachel, with her radiant smile, sharing your day. handsome younger dave in the kitchen, looking dapper in his vest & tie. jess, ethan & canaan enjoying the festivities. sr dave sharing the "reason for the seasn". your beautiful table setting and the yummy pie preparation. glimpses of the little moments that makes the holiday really special, but are often taken for granted. your traditions live on, and will certainly be duplicated in your children's future times too. so nice to have them all together to share your celebration. hope you enjoy the rest of the year and close up 2008 with more shared times. love to all of my far away family.
good afternoon gigi, hope your days following christmas have been restful and full of peaceful things and people. it has been nice here. i love sharing the people in my life and words added seemed too much. their faces and doing say it all. i did have plenty of help in the kitchen this year, it was cute, and nice. jess and david II made the strawberry pie, rachel and eric made sweet potato casserole and fresh green beans with mushrooms. dave as always cooked the turkey with stuffing(made alittle different to go with his newer eating habits) with a little help on the seasonings. everyone pitched in and it was a pleasant day. with more emphasis on being together than what we were receiving it was a grateful day as well. rachel and i managed a walk alone which was a quick respite from the crowd. with long deep breaths we enjoyed.
