to everything there is a season

and a time to every purpose under heaven:

a time to be born,

a time to die;

a time to plant,

and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

happy september.

My favorite biblical quote because it so touches the soul ~ man's search for meaning. You have it right on, dear Marmee, with lovely photos and scripture. Happy Autumn, dear friend.

So beautifully illustrated, dear sister! Your photos are a reminder of the changing seasons on your charming farm and acreage. Rennie is lovely as ever in the sunlight.

It's also making me think a visit is in order... I long for your autumn vistas!!
Blessings and hugs!

{You might want to try pinching off some of those coleus and overwintering them in your sunroom. Just a thought. They root easily in vases.}

meems,

yes, yes and again i say yes...to a visit from you in autumn. right now my visitas are a little dry and dismal.
but i am sure we can overlook that with a few conversations and laughs.
renny could be my daily subject but i think all would grow tired of that. he is on the hill where the light in the early evening is pretty much always just right.
good idea with the coleus...thanks ;)

Beautiful post! I have some pretty coleus that actually haven't died in the August drought, I'm glad for the idea from Meems to root them for some winter color!

Lovely images Marmee and so perfect for the biblical quote. It just happens to be one of my favourites.

Autumn has arrived here, I am enjoying the light, the smells and the change in colour.

Happy autumn to you and yours.......
