my light in the dark

this time of year is not my favourite...but frosty mornings
like this really make for beautiful winter scenery.
having the sun shining makes all the difference.
it gives the much needed brightness that lacks in the winter months.

all of a sudden things don't seem so gloomy when the rays of the sun
hit the frosted branches as they come alive with reflections.
this florida transplant to tennessee needs her light to be strong.
i am grateful for the sunlight flooding my morning time.
happy winter days.

It's a tough time of year, when winter seems it will never leave, just like a unwanted guest it hangs on.

But you seem to be finding joy in the little things, and that's the way to get through it. Soon, it will be spring, maybe not as soon as we want...but soon.

Oh my, these are gorgeous! I would blow up that first one and hang it on the wall for sure! Hang in there -- spring will surely come. And be all the more welcome for the time we wait... :)

Frosty mornings here usually mean glorious blue skies and sunshine later in the day, wonderful. Don't like having to scrape the ice from the car though!

Beautiful images, Marmee. Your farm is blessed with so many wonderful vistas in every season. The sunshine makes any cold day bearable and even invigorating. Glad it was shining for you to cheer your heart.

Beautiful pics. I do remember mornings like that. Since I'm a Tenn. transplant to Fl. I do miss these mornings. It does seem that we have had a few like that. Regardless we do have beauty all day, we just need to look for it.
It seems that you have found it.
