after the rain came down...

it's hard to know what to say...so many people...less
than 10 miles away lost their homes.

we are very blessed here to only have minimal
damage...some leaking in the house.
gravel driveway needs new gravel.
lots of plants beaten up badly by the constant pounding rain.

i am praying today for all those that lost everything.
homes, livestock, farmers lost fencing, spring plantings,
all their hard work washed away.
we had a pretty perfect spring until this past weekend.

today the sun is shining and the sky is blue...i pray they feel hope.

things are coming alive around here and it makes think about renewal.

lots of things are blooming for the first time. i thank God
every day for all that i have in this beautiful place i call home.

Hi Marmee, I'm really glad you posted. We were worried about you knowing that you were at ground zero of this flooding. Really good to hear you didn't have any serious damage. I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbors. Praying they get through this. So much rain in such a short period is devastating.

marnie,
thanks for being concerned. it seemed ground zero was all around us but we managed to be one of the more fortunate ones.
happy may.

Hi Marmee, I'm so glad to see that you are ok. I'm glad you didn't have but minimal damage but have heart felt feelings for the less fortunate. I have friends there & in the surrounding area {I'm from Paris} that I've been very worried about.
I pray that all will be ok.

How sad :( You were close in my heart, happy to know all is well. Sounds like you were extremely lucky, Marmee. For that, I am delighted. ((Big hugs))

I to think of those that have lost so much. Such a devastating and horrendous situation.

So glad you are safe and relatively undamaged, Marmee. What a dreadful time for all those poor people and also such a dreadful disaster going on in the Florida area with the oil spill...difficult times!

Your photos are lovely as always and your blooms.
