not to much fun to take photos of that.
my usual wednesday lunch with rachel got bumped up to tuesday because of the busy schedule.
rachel and i are always looking for new places to go...well we hit the right spot
with square market & cafe'.
it is in the town square of columbia about 45 minutes for me but just about 15 minutes from her work. we are very happy we drove the extra bit...it might become a favourite haunt.
this little town square is about 45 minutes south of nashville.
the town square is quaint and full of old buildings...
cute little restaurants...
window boxes.
and the food was great at the square market & cafe'.
rachel and i always have a great time with tons to talk about.
it's wonderful to have grown daughters to share your life with.
hens and chicks loving the heat.
weeds are not my friends. but i sure have plenty of them.
potted hydrangea flushing out.
my spirea bushes are blooming. i adore flowering bushes.
super high winds with thunder, lighting, and some hail.
celebrate dh's birthday at rachel's.
black forrest cherry cake was made...his favourite.
we laughed and talked and told stories...the best of nights.
dh and our a~# 1 son share their birthdays most years but
they each got their special day this year.
their birthday's are one day apart.
friday night we surprised david at fulin's with sushi and cake.
and a glazed pot full of cooking herbs.
the sunsets this week have been beautiful.

That did look like a cute place you and Rach went too, we will have to try it one time! She did a great job on the cake too, it is beautiful. I love the idea of Davids present, that is so cool!! I hate missing out on all the family stuff but I am glad to be able to see a little taste in the pictures. I love you!

david was happy about his present...i would love that as a gift.
next time you are here we will definitely try the little cafe'.
i love you very much.
Marmee.....speaking as a vegetarian, that plate of food looks delicious.....I could almost taste it.
Daughters do become such wonderful friends.....we are truly blessed to have both sons and daughters.....
Send some rain our way please.....my garden is as dry as a bone. We have not had a good downpour for many weeks.....
Beautiful sunsets.......
Looks like you have been busy and enjoying yourself immensely. Loved seeing all the pics.
Hi Marmee, I know what you mean about weeds. People who live in town and in suburbs, don't know how bad weeds get in the country. All the fields and fence rows, pastures and roadside ditches where every kind of weed known to man grows. And those weeds seeds constantly blowing into our gardens. Sometimes I think about suburbia and the manicured lawns and weed free gardens. Ahhhh. But we wouldn't trade, would we:)

Looks as though you all had a very lovely time. Family is so important.
It's so nice to sit & talk about what ever comes up but mostly about what happened yrs ago.
That looks like a very nice little place to eat. I do miss Tn so much.
I too like the country regardless of the weeds. I remember it all.
Your life is so rich, dear one! But you know that ...
We love finding special places that we can enjoy.
And the Hen and Chicks, my middle daughter loves those!
Just enjoying the beautiful weather here in between the weather this week. Hubby needs to get back to work.
