That bed is so cute. Your neighbors might wonder who sleeps outside with the vegetables and the garden fairies:)

The tricolored basil is pretty enough to plant with the flowers.

Enjoy your lovely spring day.

I love that dew on the roses. Remember the song. That's what I thought of when I saw my Black Cherry's full bloom early one morning last yr.
I love the bed in the garden. That was a good deal. I've seen bed frames set up with flowers sown in the middle. Really pretty.
Happy May to you.

A beautiful busy season! Great shot of the oakleaf hydrangea against the red ... are you making the antique frame into a flower bed? If so, fun to see planted :)

Wonderful to see so much growth there, Marmee, after the Winter. The bed made me smile, a very creative idea :)

I look forward to seeing your Hummingbirds again and the little Woodpecker is delightful.

Have fun in the Spring!

Hi Marmee.....wonderful idea bed in the veggie garden...like your style.

Everything is indeed waking up in your garden.....some beautiful flowers. Yarrow is a favourite of mine....it grows along the lanes, and I love it.

Grasses are beautiful, I would love to have a field full of them....one day.

Happy May, enjoy......

Too much to love!!! The iron bed, the bird, the horse, the magnolia, oh my!

We are so enjoying the beauty around us. Our vegetables are peeking through the soil and it is wonderful.

Enjoy!

Your gardens are amazing! So much beauty.
It IS a busy time of year. I enjoy the early morning too. We have had so much rain that my world is lush.
I love the bed, wonderful, creative idea and perfect spot for it too.

It's a rainy, dreary morning here, and I've been a little down for some strange reason. But as always, Marmee, your photos and message have inspired me and cheered me right up. Have a wonderful day!

marnie, lola, joey,
susie, jan,cheryl, lisa,
sherry, rose,

i am so blessed to call each of you my friend, i appreciate your visits so much. the bed in the garden is something i have wanted to do for a long, long time. i just wanted to find the right bed and this one is great because of the neighbour it came from...a wonderful 86 year old woman named smokey, with great history.
we have planted cucumbers at the base (i left the springs for a good place for creeping vines to attach) and blue lake green beans to grow all over the posters. then a butterfly bush should grow up in the middle of it all. it should be great.
happy spring to all.

Marmee, That sounds incredible. I love it. You must show a pic when it's covered.
Have you ever planted flowers in a toilet? lol I did one time when in the mtns. It turned out good. Sadly I didn't get any pics of it. Like I always wanted bails of hay with corn stalks & pumpkins for the Fall. I did that too by the same big tree & I did get pics of that. Will have to locate those one of these days.
