grey sky

of all the things about winter...
i really don't mind bare branches.

i love the sculptural quality of the the trees reaching
high into the sky even though it is grey.

that is what i don't really care for....grey skies....i need
sunshine. when it's like this all you really want to do is
sit by the fire and drink some hot tea or put your head
into a book.

we have been quite drenched here....which translates
to mud. mud on the porch....mud on the wood floors
...mud is everywhere.
we have a mountain of muddy shoes by the back door.

all i am asking for is a little bit of brightness with some
blue skies...like last year around this same time.

a few white puffy clouds would be nice.

mr. sun please come out and play.

Girl, I know what you mean. I need to see Mr. Sunshine too.

That is it exactly Marmie! I'm not too bothered by the cold but the sunshine makes such a difference, it lifts the spirit how ever wintry it is.

Lovely photos and on the previous post too. I'm so glad you got back safely after your treacherous journey!

Amen to this one, Marmee...We do need some sunshine. Besides the mud, we have snow flurries and ice around here--with more to come.

I do love the unleafed trees though --but my main reason is to spot the birds up in the trees in winter!!!! ha

Hugs,
Betsy

susie,

i need some sunshine therapy.

jan,

if we could just have a sunshiney winter i would be fine. i may need a trip to visit meems in the sunshine state to get my fix.
thank you for your well wishes we are all so grateful to be home safe.

betsy,

we are having the same little snow flurries and ice sticking in places. between the mud and the grey skies it is a little bit of a downer.
i too love to see the birds in the bare branches. we have had many many birds at our feeders this year. i guess word gets around.
hugs to you.

Ample sunshine is what I LOVE about Florida winters. No matter how cold it gets it is usually sunny. Grey skies make it even colder... I'm convinced about that anyway.
