mr blue sky

looking up today was a must...

...we had a beautiful blue sky...
...complete with big fluffy whites.

everything looked great against the crisp azure sky.
as we walked we notice a rather large tree
had been felled...it makes for a great photo op...
...buster brown is always quite the obliging subject...
...bronte' jane...not so much...it took several
tries to get this...she has no idea what stay means.

with the sun shining and a slight breeze blowing...

...even the moss looked like it was blooming...

...not much else is...this branch has a wonderful sculptural quality.

we took a familiar path with a few different turns...
...to uncover some safe havens for the creatures...
...and a massive stand of twisted branches...

...with fungi, moss, lichen...
...a heart leaf in the tree...reminding me of valentines...you have
to look for it... but it is there.
it was a wonderful day to be outdoors...

same plant different perspectives...just goes to
show you it is how you look at things...
...i love sunny days with mr blue sky.

Wonderful day to enjoy the outdoors. It's very warm here but with a foot of snow melting slowly the mud is the consistency of whipped cream--everywhere;) I love the name you chose for your dog, Bronte' Jane.

marnie,
it was a beautiful day and we spent a great deal of it out of doors.
i am not sure about whipped cream snow, is that a mess?
the bronte' part was my idea but dh came up with adding jane. i love it too.

Sunny skies just seem to give you a whole different--and happy--perspective on everything, Marmee. Your dogs are beautiful--I love the name "Bronte Jane" :)

Hi Marmee.....it would seem you had a beautiful walk with your furry companion.....she is a lovely dog.....

Doesn't the moss look lovely on the tree....a work of art indeed.....I love to see nature creating......I found the heart shape leaf. Many would have walked by and not noticed this gift from above.....you have eyes that see, many do not......this is a blessing.....

I loved seeing your blue skies......I have rain and grey, it is forecast tomorrow to!!

rose you are so right, i need sun. i am so glad to have gotten that day of beauty, it is like medicine to my soul.
so glad you like the name bronte'jane. i love the bronte' sisters so therefore the name. dh came up with the jane from jane eyre. such romance.

cheryl,
well i am guessing your plants will love the rain. it was indeed a beautiful day for walking and take notice of all beauty. soaking up the sun and seeing the things it brightened up was very gratifing.
i loved seeing the moss, it was very heavy in some places on our walk. taking the dogs is good for them and good for us. they use alot of their energy up on those times outside which is nice upon the returning home.

Can't beat a stunning blue sky and puffy clouds, Marmee, one of my favorite things to photograph also ~ nature at its best! Love that you walk with your camera ... a gal after my own heart :)

well, we are also having sunny blue skies here in our native florida. weather forecast mild for the week. it may even be a little warm to you coming from up 'narth'. bring your camera for some great 'beach pics' too.
lovely post (i loved the heart leaf) and the plant silhouette. you and your camera seem to be one eye!

Hey Marmee,
Blue skies will make any day better! We're pretty spoiled with more than our fair share down here I suppose. For winter weary folks a blue sky would be a welcome delight!

That Bronte is a mess isn't she? And there's Buster just doing what he's suppose to do. Show off.

Love the mossy tree photos especially.
