i get lost...

in the beauty of everything i see.

i do love to be home.

these clematis didn't bloom last year but they are making an impact this year.

our tractor has been out of commission for three weeks.
there are all kinds of things coming up in my yard i never knew existed.

buster can nearly disappear when laying down.
he is not a small dog.

we used the push mower for a while yesterday evening...until it quit
due to exhaustion...the mower not us.
we made trails so abbey could run through them.

our newest addition to the farm...minnie.

with the duck coop finished. we have been letting the ducks
and bunnies run around several times a day.

the dogs are fascinated by the critters at ground level.
so easily seen but not so easily gotten to.

rowan is especially curious.

tawny doesn't mind in the least.
sally and silver

and sam.
minnie meet rowan...

rowan meet minnie.
minnie meet silver.

and sally

that look says it all.

and with all this i had my own little entertainer.

singing up a storm.

really singing up a storm.
life is good...and on a farm even better.

I love the bunnies and ducks. I don't think I would ever get much done if I lived there. I'd want to be playing with all your animals.

Love the pics!

Where to begin? So many lovely images of your farm, Marmee! The bunnies are so cute, but good thing they are in cages. I'm not sure our Sophie would be as friendly with the rabbits as Rowan is.

Our large riding mower was broken for two weeks, too. When we finally got it back and my husband mowed, we could have used a hay baler as well:)

The first photo in your header is stunning!

Good morning Marmee. Whenever I visit your site, it's like going home. I lived in south central Tennessee for a while and really loved it there. Your posts take me back to those happy times.

Hi Marmee, I always love coming to your blog... You have such an incredible life there on your farm in Middle Tennessee. We are not on a farm--but we also love where we live. AND--like you, we love being outside this time of year.

I love all of your little critters --and especially the fact that you name them all. We name things here also....

The pictures of the bunny and the dog are priceless. Think that they will be the best of friends..

Have a great week.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Marmee, It's so good to be back with you :)

All your animals are beautiful and they all look so happy to be in the Springtime sunshine...Abbey does too!

Your Love Lies Bleeding is lovely, I have seen them on three different blogs in the last two days, they really are stunning.

We have rain today :( Oh well it will make the plants grow...and the weeds!!

Hi Marmee....the clematis is lovely. They are such perfect plants....so many colours and always so accommodating.

The rabbit is sweet.....identical to a rabbit I had around twenty years ago now. Snowy was a lovely boy......he had the run of, my then, tiny little garden.

The ducklings have grown considerably......how fun to have so many pets on the farm.

The long grass is just so beautiful. I would be so tempted to leave it. I know it is not practical but it is so romantic.

Happy April to you to Marmee......

Thank you for that. I was lost in the beauty of your post. My children are so much older now, and I miss those sprinkler days. :(

We do have a new bunny too, Socks. I have chickens, but we don't have ducks.~~Dee

thank you everyone,

it was nice to have some new faces on here and it is always good to have long time friends visit too.
life on the farm is busy so blogging is at a minimum.
happy april.

Oh boy do I ever miss the little critters. We make pets from all. My DH use to say it wouldn't do to have a farm because I'd have all the animals in the house with me. Hee Hee.
Always a good life on the farm.

Oh, Marmee, I can see how and why you'd get lost in all the beauty that surrounds you. Like you, I LOVE to be home... it is my favorite place in all the world. Your farm is enchanting and glorious and I would not be able to stay indoors if I lived there.

I hope you are safe and sound with all the rivers running through your lovely farm tonight.
love and hugs, Meems

LOVE, LOVE your new header of Renny.
