country road take me home

the long and winding road...

...past the creek...

...around a few twists and turns...

...with the red square baler...

around the hay fields...

...down the green way of trees...

...leads to marmee's house.

WELCOME HOME

What beautiful pictures! That country road looks so inviting. I would like to strap on a helmet and take a bike ride down it; or even hike down it for that matter. The trees look so pretty starting to turn colors. Ours are still mostly green. Thanks for sharing your country drive. The entrance to your home looks so nice and inviting too!

So perfectly picturesque... so country and so "I want to be on that road!" I just love country roads and red barns and big fields with lots of open space and farm machinery and creeks... so very inviting, Marmee. I hope those beautiful colors hold out for a couple of weeks...

Lovely pics. I'd love to walk down that road and into your space. Shall I bring the coffee? Or cookies?

susie, we used to ride down this road on our motorcycle before we bought our house. it is a fun ride and lots of bikers easy down this road. the leaves are starting to turn but we should see more drama in a few weeks. you are welcome to this home anytime.

this road causes you to unwind and release the cares of life. i love it for that. i hardly can stand to drive intown but i still have to sometimes. well, it looks like you might just get to come on this drive with me in a couple of weeks, that would be grand. the colours should actually be better when you come!

I enjoyed looking at your photography. Thanks for sharing. That's quite of collection of fake squash and pumpkins you have. I love pumpkin pie, but I'd hate to eat a pie made from them.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment. I love how your post just drew me in with anticipation. What a beautiful home! Love your autumn decor. I am a country girl too, we live off a main highway, down what we call the "Main road" on a little gravel and dirt side road on eight acres of land. I look forward to reading more of your blog and getting to know you.

Marmee, Isn't Tennessee beautiful! Leiper's Fork and your road home are especially gorgeous. Great photos. I may have to take a drive out there with the Mr this weekend!

You have a lovely drive home. I have very fond memories of Tennessee. A beautiful state! I lived near Frankewing for some time.

I would like to move back to Giles County but may never because of family.
