jubilee

no these little lambs aren't mine but soon, very soon.

as things here in tennessee are emerging...so are we at
dash home farm. we are learning what our land was
meant to be...to become. it is very exhilarating, inspiring
to allow yourself to be what nature all around you is saying.

i received a packaged in the mail...of course i knew it was
coming. i ordered a new pair of garden gloves...on the advice of
well the beauty of them sold me right away.
i picked the ones called jubilee...i love that that they name
them...i tested them out yesterday in a new garden patch i
hadn't even intended to plant at this time...but a visit to
the nursery...and a crepe myrtle that had not been planted since last fall.
i wasn't sure it was even alive but with new growth shooting out all over
it i think it deserves a chance.
the finches and mocking birds are watching...waiting with
great anticipation at what this lady(moi) is doing crawling all
around on the ground(pulling lots of weeds) is doing.
the puppy(which i commonly call her) is enjoying my pruning.
i will show you more of this newly planted area as it comes together.
so far so good on the ethel garden gloves...my hands sure look good
whatever they are doing in the dirt.

They look like nice gloves. I always, always lose one glove. Actually I think something steals them;) Some one handed something.

that was a great post on the gardening gloves that meems did. Reads as if you are busy around there too, taking the time to realize the beauty around us as you work.....priceless!

Oh Marmee, you are experiencing the joys of spring awakening and I can tell you are having a jubilant time as you do. So nice to be out and about and breathing in every pretty green thing.

I've been out in the garden all morning (just came in for a lunch break). The breezes blowing under the shady oaks and every living thing extra alert to the season makes me sing as I mow. :-)

Seeing your Ethel Gloves box reminded me I had a new pair of gloves still in the box in a closet ---I had tucked away just before Easter. Almost forgot. One pair is a gift for a very special person and the other is FOR ME! And guess what... it is a pair of JUBILEE! My first with that name although I've given away two pairs of them. Don't they just work so nicely?

Thanks for the link love. I hope you like them as much as me. It is a very good thing to find a durable glove.
***hugs to you***

Hi Marmee, That sister of yours is always full of great info. She is quite the gardener, isn't she???? I remember her talking about those special gloves.

Hope you had a great week/weekend.

We are glad to be home.. It was a wonderful trip --just getting to see my son and family. BUT--the weather was horrible. Oh Well!!!!

I'm going to check through some of your older blog posts.
Hugs,

I love getting packages in the mail, especially if they have something to do with gardening. Sounds like the new gloves are great! Mine are pathetic. I think I could use a new pair myself.

marnie,
i used them good today...maybe the sock monster takes your gloves. where do all those other socks and gloves go to. you really should try these and they are not to expensive either.

darla, my dear sis is always full of good/detailed info. taking in the beauty is the reason we do it, right>?

meems,
i actually started a post called in the last few days called "the awakening." too funny but it feels that way...i am thoroughly enjoying it all.
mowing is a chore i don't mind either...much better than laundry any day. i totally can see you bopping around singing under those grand oaks.
oh how nice of you to give such a wonderful gift...i am sure it will be greatly appreciated...i gave my new pair another test drive today and i am really loving them too...they feel natural. wow, you and i seem to be in sync these days with our likes and dislikes...too funny we got the same pair. they are coming out with new ones on may 1st. you'll have to tell which ones you like best.
love and hugs to you on these fine spring days.

cheryl,
we do want some lambs, horses, cows and poultry. all will come in due time...we hope.
my plan is scatter my wildflower seed tomorrow...if only we could only be in the garden. there are so many other distractions.
i used my new gloves again today to plant a new bed...i am really liking them alot. i put a link to their site on the words ethel gloves if you want to check them out. i think they would be worth your while.
the puppy is doing famously, my whole family is "smitten." she is a darling and so calm(that is one of my bywords).

betsy,

my sis, meems got the right and left brain skills. she is so detailed about everything she does. she's amazing and the best gardener by natural instinct.
these gloves are great...i am trying out my first but not last pair.
i had a great weekend and am looking forward to another. it is supposed to be very warm here the next few days...which is a big change.
so glad you had a good time with family even though the weather didn't cooperate.
