GIVING THANKS WELL
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. ~colossians 3:16,17~
Marmee, I LOVE your 'header' of the turkey. GORGEOUS--one of the prettiest ones I've seen. Your home/table looks fabulous also. I hope you had a FEAST today.. We DID--and as usual, I ate WAY too much! ha
a belated happy thanksgiving to all! i don't know how you managed to do a post plus prepare and decorate, but as usual, you are superwoman!!! we had your two brothers, plus family for dinner and as usual for me, i was in over my head! bless my dh, he was my main man all day, helping and getting me through it! no Martha Stewart event, but all the food turned out yummy! at least, i can still cook well! i'll send a pic by e-mail or maybe, just maybe, i will do a post on my blog! oh, wait, that would be miracle, wouldn't it? i did have a very thankful heart to have the boys together for the first time in many years. and i know that you and yours had a grateful time too!
meems happy birthday and thanksgiving to you! hope you are having a special day today. my phone died so will you email me your phone #. i was going to try to call you today. love you can't wait to hear how all is going.
wendy, did you celebrate canadian's thanksgiving day in october>? we sometimes do both, seeing as dh is canadian. this year it passes us by. thanks! we did have a wonderful day, very relaxed.
thanks betsy, i am changing header today cause now i can start to think about celebrating christmas. i have had that turkey for years he has even lost his head but we glued it back on, lol. we have never cooked him though! hehe. we did have a feast and it was amazing. dh always cooks the turkey and i am glad to give it over to him seeing as i do most everything else. but i love it and it was great. i think everyone always eats too much on thanksgiving. now we all have to watch it!
gigi, oh how we wished you guys were here with us. we had a great day with a few people missing. but it was a calm, relaxed day. we even went for two walks one before dinner and one right after. i hope your day was good. by the end of the night i was exhausted but i am making up for it today. we are playing electronic banking monopoly. it is an interesting version and as you can see i am blogging too. mutitasking is my middle name. haha. love you mom!

I am a happily married woman of 27 years. I lived in Florida for 40 years and moved to Tn in 2000. We lived in the city of Brentwood for 6 years and move to Leiper's Fork in May of 2007. We have been in the country for about six years now on a 7.24 acre farm. We call it Dash Home Farm. Da-for Dave and Sh-for Sharon. We live in a victorian farmhouse made to look old(it acts old). We love the community of Leiper's Fork and the quaintness of the town (no lights).
