i was able to capture this as the sun was coming up. this lovely humming bird decided to sit(seconds, mind you) awhile on a nearby branch.
this little fellow dragonfly looks a little worn but was enjoying sunning himself until i got too close.
there is something magical about an orange winged being flitting and fluttering about in ones garden. voila! he lit on a freshly watered wildflower. how wonderful!

Great tour through your garden today!! Love hummingbirds and you did a great job of catching it in flight.
Oooooh... how I wish I had some hummingbirds. Last year I saw a couple (literally two) but never got a photo. This year I haven't seen a single one.
All the flowers are so pretty. I'm so glad you are having such fun with your wildflowers. This is a great time of year to enjoy all that work from the springtime in the garden.
Love those hummingbird pics!! I don't see them very often here in Florida. I saw one in June but that's all I've seen this year. Of course, I didn't have the camera handy. Maybe next time!! :)
flydragon- i love hummingbirds too that add that little something extra.
meems- i am so glad i had my camera at hand so now you can enjoy mine. it has been cool enough to just sit, watch and relish the work done earlier!
greenjeans- thanks for coming by. i am blessed to have been sitting there with my camera.
Great shots Marmee. Your cosmos are beautiful. Wish they'd bloom in the shade.
I enjoyed looking at your hummer and butterflies. Your photos had a dreamy quality I really like.
Marnie
